This is going to be my first update actually talking about my Japanese learning, how exciting!
I've been hearing a lot from multiple sources that setting your language to your target language in things like games and simple apps really helps you get better at reading. I kinda figured this would be true, but I didn't exactly anticipate just how true it would actually be. I only changed the language on my Switch, but already things are just a bit more challenging. I played UNO with my husband earlier and, while I was able to navigate the menus pretty alright, a lot of it was definitely me navigating with context clues. At least I can't exactly doubt my ability to read kana much anymore, considering that's what let me find my way around in the game haha. I'd imagine other games will get a bit more difficult to understand, though. Especially if they're dialogue heavy and story based.
I'm debating setting up an RSS feed. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy writing on here, but the ability to just upload my posts instead of having neocities constantly say that I updated two pages instead of just my blog whenever I make a post would be really nice. The problem is, I can't exactly find a super concise tutorial on how to go about setting that up. Everything requires a bit of knowledge in Java that I just do not have right now. They claim to be rudimentary, but I disagree. Oh well.
